PRIVACY POLICY
For SermonOS Mobile Application
Effective Date: June 3, 2026
Introduction
SermonOS ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application (the "App") collects, uses, and safeguards your information. By using SermonOS, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our App:
Personal Information
When you create an account, we collect your Email Address. This is used solely for authentication and to secure your account data across devices.
User-Generated Content
We store the content you create within the App, including Sermon Notes, Series, and Pastor Records. This data is private to you and stored securely via Supabase so you can access it across devices.
Subscription Information
We collect your selected subscription plan (Congregation Plan or Pastor Plan) to provide the appropriate features and manage billing through the relevant app store.
Device Information
We may collect non-personal data such as your device model, operating system version, and crash logs to help us fix bugs and improve performance.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
To Provide Services
To manage your account, sync your sermon notes and series to the cloud, and maintain your pastor library across devices.
AI Features
To refine your raw sermon notes into structured study material and — on the Pastor Plan — to generate AI study notes from YouTube sermon links. Your note content is sent to Groq AI to perform this function.
Push Notifications
To deliver your daily Bible verse notification. You can manage or disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
Communication
To send you important updates regarding your account, subscription, or changes to this policy.
3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
SermonOS uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, powered by Groq, to refine sermon notes and generate study content from YouTube sermons.
Accuracy
While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally be incorrect or fail to capture the full theological intent of a sermon. Always cross-reference with the original message and standard biblical texts.
Not Professional Advice
The content generated by SermonOS is for spiritual and educational purposes only and does not constitute professional theological, psychological, medical, or financial advice.
Your Content
When you use the AI Refine feature, your sermon notes are sent to Groq for processing. We do not share your personal identity with Groq — only the text content you submit for refinement.
4. Push Notifications
SermonOS may request permission to send you push notifications for your Daily Bible Verse feature.
What We Send
We send one daily Bible verse notification. We do not send marketing messages or share your device token with third parties.
How to Opt Out
You can disable notifications at any time through your device's notification settings or within the App settings.
5. Data Storage and Security
Cloud Storage
Your sermon notes, series, and account data are stored securely in Supabase — a trusted cloud database provider that employs encryption at rest and in transit.
Encryption
All personal data is transmitted over a secure SSL connection (HTTPS). We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorised access.
Auto-Save
Your notes are auto-saved every 30 seconds within the App, regularly syncing to the cloud to prevent any loss of content.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time.
How to Delete Data
You can request the complete deletion of your account and all associated data (including sermon notes and series) by using the "Delete Account" option within the App settings or by contacting us at thekingdombuilder.org@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
7. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. These services adhere to their own privacy policies:
- •Supabase: Provides secure cloud storage and authentication for your account and sermon data.
- •Groq AI: Processes your sermon notes to generate refined study content. Only the text content of your notes is sent — your identity is not shared.
- •YouTube / Google (Pastor Plan): When you paste a YouTube sermon link, we access publicly available video content to generate study notes. We do not store YouTube credentials or access your personal YouTube account.
- •Google Play Services / Apple App Store: For authentication, subscription billing, and core app functionality.
8. Subscriptions & Billing
SermonOS offers two paid plans — the Congregation Plan and the Pastor Plan — both available monthly or annually with a 14-day free trial.
- •All billing is handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We do not store your payment card details.
- •To cancel your subscription, manage it through your Google Play or Apple App Store account settings.
9. Children's Privacy
SermonOS is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete this from our servers.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
